In this post spring break, pre summer vacation moment, we’re revisiting how to focus on the essentials when it comes to packing. Whether for a weekend away, or a week of exploring, there’s nothing we hate more than traveling with an overstuffed bag of toiletries. We’d rather prioritize that luggage space for an extra pair of shoes, or a great hat to shade the sun.But given the toll a plane or change of climate can take on the skin, travel skincare is of the utmost importance to keep the skin healthy while on the move.Keep It SimpleWhen traveling, it is best to keep your skincare routine simple. This means packing only the essentials and avoiding any unnecessary products. Probably not the time to try out that new serum or exfoliator. You do not want to overwhelm your skin with too many products, especially if you are traveling to a new climate or environment. Stick to a basic routine of cleansing, moisturizing, and applying SPF. If you’re traveling with Le Cleanser and La Crème, we love the refillable travel bottles from Ries for easy, leak free packing at TSA friendly volumes.Moisturize FrequentlyOne of the biggest challenges of traveling is staying hydrated. When you're dehydrated, your skin can become dry and dull. To combat this, make sure to moisturize frequently and drink a lot of water. You can apply La Crème throughout the day, especially after long flights or spending time in dry, air-conditioned environments. And a touch of Le Baume can be helpful for any extremely dry patches that need a boost of hydration, especially on the go.SPF, AlwaysRegardless of where you’re heading - a sunny beach or bustling city - SPF is key. Apply sunscreen with at least SPF 30 every day, even if you're not spending a lot of time outdoors. And since you’ve pared down your skincare routine, you hopefully have some extra room for a hat in that bag of yours to protect your skin from the sun.
