Yesterday, innocent as a dove, I said that I was going to attack the streets of Saint-Tropez looking for a pair of K-Jacques. On the way, I got a few e-mails :
“Garance, c’mon now, if you’re in Saint-Tropez, you gotta buy some Rondinis!”
I’ve already heard of Rondinis, the shoes you can only find in Saint-Tropez, that existed well before K-Jacques, the crème de la crème of places to be in Tropez that are passed between connoisseurs and the like, but that whole thing bugs me a little.
It’s just too snobby for me!
So I go to K-Jacques, and, of course, I try ALL the tropeziennes, existing. But there, no luck. They don’t have my size.
Frustrated, I head to Rondini. And I leave with the pair on the picture, that I love.
Back to my hotel, I meet my friends. Each of them is holding a couple of K-Jacques shopping bags.
And there I go : “What ? My shoes ? They are Rondinis, of course ! You know, the shoes you can only find in Saint-Tropez, that existed well before K-Jacques, the crème de la crème of places to be in Tropez that are passed between connoisseurs and the like, and that you can’t even order on the internet, wich is way more exclusive !!! Rondini, all the way !”
Dear readers, I will never thank you again for helping me become more snob than a snob ! All right, off I go !
