Erin Kleinberg is a longtime friend of Doré — our paths first crossed over 15 years ago, back when she co-founded The Coveteur. She's always been a creative powerhouse, so no one was surprised (but everyone was excited) when she channeled her incredible taste (and fantastic nose!) into her own brand, SIDIA, inspired by her beautiful grandmother. She also runs Métier Creative, an agency behind some of the best work in fashion and beauty, and she's a wonderful mama on top of it all. Just a few things on her plate these days! With SIDIA freshly launched at Sephora Canada, it felt like the perfect moment to ask her to share her Beauty Minute with us.
What is your morning beauty routine?
I'm a creature of habit. Kid snuggles first (!), then skincare, a quick gua sha or ice bath (I never miss) and fragrance before I get dressed. I don't really believe in saving beautiful things for special occasions - I wear perfume to work from home just as often as I do to dinner. It's become part of my daily essentials.
And your evening routine?
Evenings are my reset. I wash my face with Doré Le Cleanser, moisturize head to toe, light a candle, and put on fragrance again. It's less about getting ready for someone else and more about signaling to myself that the day is over. I've realized luxury is rarely about the big moments - it's almost always found in lived-in daily rituals.
What products do you keep in your bag?
My SIDIA Hand Serum is permanently in my bag because I'm constantly washing my hands. The Solid Perfume with whichever fragrance I'm wearing that day, eye drops, lip liner, sunglasses, and usually a notebook. I'm old-fashioned - I still love writing things down.
How do you define beauty?
Beauty has very little to do with perfection. It's really about ease. I always notice how someone carries themselves before I notice what they're wearing or what makeup they have on. The most beautiful people have a confidence that feels quiet.
When do you feel most beautiful?
Fresh out of the shower, clean hair, vintage white tee, glowing skin... and absolutely nowhere to be.
Or the morning after a really memorable dinner, when you're still catching little traces of yesterday's fragrance on your sweater. I love how scent becomes part of a memory.
We're huge fans of SIDIA and are so excited about the Sephora Canada launch. Can you tell us more about the brand?
I've always dreamed of building the kind of fragrance house people grow up with.
The brand is named after my grandmother, Sidia, and what started as a body care collection has evolved into something much bigger. Today, we're building a modern fragrance house inspired by the rituals of the women who came before us. Every fragrance is named after a feeling rather than a place or an ingredient because I've always believed scent is one of the most personal forms of self-expression. It's the invisible layer you wear every single day.
This has been an especially exciting year for us with our launch at Sephora Canada, but it really feels like just the beginning.
And we have to ask, what’s your favorite address in France?I still catch myself wishing I could spend one more afternoon wandering Colette. It felt like the epicenter of creativity, where fashion, beauty, art and design all collided. There was something so magical about discovering things there before anyone else, and I don't think that feeling can ever really be recreated.
Today, I'd probably say Le Bon Marché. I can lose hours there. It's less about shopping and more about discovering something beautiful - a book, a fragrance, an exhibition, incredible food. It's one of those places that reminds me why I fell in love with luxury in the first place.
Or honestly, any little café where I can order a tea, people-watch for an hour, and pretend I have absolutely nowhere to be.
