We’ve been writing about some of our favorite French Essentials for the last few months, usually highlighting classic fashion, beauty and accessories, but there are a few French foods that are also totally essential. Shall we begin with the baguette?
There may be nothing better than the smell of fresh baguettes wafting down the streets of Paris early in the morning from the boulangeries that dot nearly every street corner (do you think there are more pharmacies or boulangeries in Paris? It’s a fair question, no?) No matter where you try to recreate these perfectly chewy absolutely delicious loaves of bread they’re just always better in France. Even better is that they work as a snack for every time of day - in the morning with some beurre et confiture; at lunch with some beurre et jambon; at dinner with some beurre et sel (see a pattern here?).
Is there anything more pleasurable than fresh bread?
