French Essentials: Rondini Sandals

Nothing feels more like summer than a simple strappy pair of flat leather sandals that lace up your ankles. The kind of sandals you throw on with an easy dress and wet hair to have dinner by the sea, or for a walk around a local marché on the weekend. The Rondini bikini sandals - one of their earliest styles - have always been one of our French Essentials - they were featured in Garance’s 2015 book, Love x Style x Life. The Rondini family began making sandals in Saint Tropez in 1927 and while they’ve grown, the business is still run by the Rondini family. You can find their boutique and workshop where all of the shoes are made in Saint-Tropez if you happen to be in the south of France, but they thankfully began shipping internationally on their website a few years ago. These handmade sandals just get better and better with age, as any true essential should.
