Garance Doré: My Beauty Travel Essentials

Author: Garance Doré
You may know that for professional and personal reasons, I’ve been on the road for a few months now. It’s been mostly lovely, and one of the reasons is that I’ve been able to pack quite well.I’ve simplified, organized, and “essentialed” my way through Europe. I’ll be happy to be home and get back to my routines—and to the gym—but in the meantime, here are a few things that have made my life easier.A mirror. With suction cups. I hate coming back home, looking in my magnifying mirror and realising I’ve been going around with some unsightly hair or pimple that I just couldn’t see in the lights of a hotel bathroom. Sticky mirrors are the answer. They don’t take room, weight nothing, you can stick them to any window with natural light pouring through and most of your beauty problems are solved.Smart tools. One of the reasons we love Le Disque is because it’s not only very gentle and effective, but also very practical. I wash my face under the shower with Le Cleanser, and when I feel like I need a little extra brightness, I use it. It gives me a massage, makes my skin so soft, and its silicone is antibacterial—it’s very easy to wash, and perfect for travel.Zip locks. This is practicality, not glamour! I travel with ziplock bags for two reasons. One is to have a place for my dirty laundry (I am a bit of a laundry maniac) and the other to prevent any spillage in my suitcase.Travel sizes or travel containers. It seems obvious, but for years I traveled with full sized containers just out of laziness. Now that I’ve moved to Europe and got acquainted with the drastic luggage policies, I’ve gotten much better at getting travel sizes of my favourites products. All right, I have to pack again. Soon though, I’ll be landing in my new place in Paris. So very excited to settle for a while, and to share my new adventures into French beauty with you!G
